The birth of this furniture is due to a close dialogue with the client. He has been well impressed by Mondrian’s painting and wanted a library which reflects the “De stjil” principles.
Studying the dutch artist and his works, I tried to follow the light composition using black lines and primary colours. It works because the shelves are assemblied togheter only by wooden pegs and glue.
The final solution arrived after a long work and was thought customized for that place.
It really gave satisfaction to the client, who made it by himself.
